FAQ

Does it cost more to book with an advisor?

No. Suppliers pay travel advisors commission at no extra cost to the consumer. If you book online yourself, suppliers just keep that percentage. If you have a more complicated itinerary (multiple bookings, research required, etc.), there is a fee for service as it often takes many hours to put these trips together.

Can advisors help when airlines cancel flights?

If the cancellation occurs before check-in, an advisor can assist with any necessary changes (and save you hours on hold!). If you have already checked in or are at the airport, it will likely be better to deal with the airline directly but always reach out for advice and recommendations.

What about travel insurance?

This is an important part of any trip! It's important to protect your investment. Whether it's emergency medical or trip cancellation/interruption, there are a variety of plans to suit your needs. I am able to provide insurance to anyone within Canada and am licensed by TICO.

Do advisors offer better rates?

It depends. Sometimes you will be offered the same rate as you can find online but sometimes it will be better as we have access to preferred rates that may not be available to the general public.

What are the main advantages of booking with an advisor?

1. Personal service and assistance

2. Expert advice

3. Knowledge and expertise

4. Perks and extras when available

5. Special pricing when available

6. Time savings!

Are there any disadvantages of booking with an advisor?

Not really! If you enjoy planning and research, you can still do that (any fees will be adjusted accordingly) but there is really no reason to NOT take advantage of a travel advisor. If you book online yourself, the supplier just keeps the commission so why not save yourself time and stress?!
